Last week my friend told me that there is an Arabic writer who writes about Kurds and Jews. At the first place it sound very weird to me, it is just imagining Muqtada Sadir in jeans… yeah right!
Anyway, I was very interested in the subject. So I began to search for this mystic writer. You will not believe me people! The story that I have been told was true!

The writer is Jasim el-Mutir. He is an Iraqi Arabic writer. He is actually a very good friend of Kurds and Jews, especially the Iraqi Jews. He has been captured by the Saddam’s government because of his stories which he wrote. He is the first Arabic writer who wrote a book about Halabja, the Kurdish city which has been bombed with chemical weapon by Saddam Hussein. The book called “Shiren” and it is one of his best stories that he wrote. “Shiren” has been translated in more than 15 languages, including Kurds and Chinese. He is also the writer of the first book about the Jewish tragedy in the ME. It’s called “The two lovers of Mesopotamia”. It is an amazing book about two Iraqi Jews who separated from each other because of ware.

I was very surprised when I heard that the Kurdish authorities never thanked hem for his great job that he did for Kurds. But that is actually not amazing at all. Our so called Kurdish leaders are too busy with making money and they have no time to thanks our friends.

Well, we should not forget people who show sympathy to our nation. We need these people more than any time. Because only they are in state to make sure that Halabja II won’t happen again.

Early eighties almost each country in the Western world was busy to make profit from the Iran-Iraq war. The Western world did this by selling weapons to Iran and Iraq. The Arabic countries did also play a dirty play during this war. During the eight years of war they gave money to Saddam Hussein so he could continue his war. Meanwhile these Arabic countries were selling their oil for a lower price than Iraq, they were sending workers to Iraq so they could rebuild what Khomeini had destroyed and above of all these they were getting young Kurdish girls and Kurdish women as gifts from Saddam Hussein. If you wondering where these young girls and women came from, the answer is simple: they were prisoners of the “Anfal”. Anfal is the name that Saddam Hussein gave to his plan to destroy 5500 Kurdish villages in north of Iraq and killing 180.000 Kurds.

One of most awful pictures that I see it everyday are the castles which are build by France for Saddam Hussein. These castles served as military posts, especially during the Anfal period in 1988. They served also as prisons where Kurdish people were tortured and killed. There are maybe near 100 castles like this in north of Iraq. I am wondering why nobody accuse Franc for helping Saddam Hussein and as a partner of Saddam Hussein during the genocides of 1988? Don’t tell me it’s not possible because there is not enough evidence! Come and see them by your self.

Each time when I see these castles I realize more that our only friends are the mountains.

Hi ppl,

The last two weeks I was on vacation in Turkey. I saw a lot of things, it was really fun. I tried to blog from Turkey but sadly it wasn’t possible. In Adana I asked someone for an internet café he answered me: “do you want thee?” and I said: “No, thank no thee I prefer coffee”.

So for the people who emailed me I wasn’t captured or killed, I was just on vacation. Thanks for asking by the way ;)

The Referendum Committee of Australia retire

London (KurdishMedia.com) 30 July 2004: The Referendum Committee of Australia was scraped by the elected committee of the organisation and decided not to take part in further activities of the movement. The Committee issued a communiqué on 28 July 2004, providing the reasons for their departure.

The Referendum Movement collected over 1.8 million signatures in Kurdistan and 48 thousands signatures amongst the Kurdish Diaspora. A three-member delegation, consisting of Dr Rebwar Fatah, Dr Kawa Amin and Ms Khoshi Shawqi, visited the UN in Geneva earlier this year, to set a roadmap to conduct a referendum in Kurdistan.

Letting South Kurdistan be a part of Iraq is maybe the best option at this moment. But if Kurds wanted to be a part of Iraq, they could do that long time a go. Then the Halabja and Anfal tragedy never happened and we could all live in peace together. Except for the Kurdish leaders Kurds never wanted to be a part of any country. This is something which is have been forgotten by the rest of the world, even by Kurds.

The most important thing at this moment is the question whether Kurds in South of Kurdistan want to be a part of Iraq or not? And if they don’t want the beloved Federal system what is the reason then?

There are enough reasons to be not a part of Iraq, think of what all the Iraqi governments did against Kurds for the last 80 years. Of course it’s important to learn from your mistakes but personally I don’t think that that would be the best arguments. Maybe it’s time to come with new arguments instead of Halabja and Anfal. Personally I think that each nation has the right to form his state and call it his country. I think also that self-determination right most get highest priority. So calling independence is not because Iraq is not good enough for Kurds, it’s actually because each nation has the right to be independent and also Kurds, as a nation, will use that universal right.

Nowadays when you talk about Kurds everybody thinks only of Kurds in Iraq. But the Kurdish problem don’t stop by the Iraqi border, there are 40 million Kurds who suffers under horrible regimes in the ME. If USA and the rest of world are really our friend then they do their best to find a solution for the Kurdish problem entirely, not only in Iraq.

Kurds must be aware that they must do their best for an independence Kurdistan. Only an independence Kurdistan will solve the Kurdish problem in the ME. What Kurds and the rest of the nations in the ME must absolutely not forget is that demanding an independence Kurdistan doesn’t mean killing each other and hating each other. Of course only a fool would actually believe that the first step of solving the Kurds problem is giving Kurds their Independent Kurdistan. It’s a process of years. But it must begin somewhere. The ideal situation is when Turks, Arabs and Persians thinking by themselves of giving Kurds their rights. Because that is the only way to prevent wars between these nations. And who knows maybe after 50 years there will be Turks, Arabs and Persians who are actually proud because one day they supported the Kurdish independency. And example of a person who made the first step in the blogworld to show the rest of the Kurds that not each Arab is a racist is Mr. Ali. His article has been published on Kurdo’s webblog. I really have respect for these kinds of people; I hope to see more of them in the future.

Turkish PM in Iran seek help against Kurd rebels

Rajab Ordughan ,The Turkey's Prime Minster, has come to Iran to visited Khatami and talk about the Kurds problem in his country. Ordughan made an agreement with Khatami about the PKK issue. Iran will from now on see PKK as a terrorist organisation, and for that will Turkey never allow USA to use his country as a basis to attack Iran. I most say this is really a dirty play!

In 1978, left-wing Kurds under the direction of Ocalan founded the Marxist PKK, an organization whose goal was autonomy for Turkey’s Kurds. This Kurdish party is fighting for the freedom of more than 25 million Kurds in Turkey. Sadly PKK believes in pure communism. For that reason I don’t prefer PKK to be the ruler of North of Kurdistan. Simply, because fundamentalism don’t work for everybody. In a pure communistic country people are not allowed to say what they want. I prefer a democratic country.

However, PKK is very unique. It’s the only party in the Middle East which is composed for 40% out of women! Yes, you heard me! There are actually women who have the daring to fight one of the most well armed army in the world, the Turkish army. When I think of these mothers and sisters who chosen to be guerrilla’s, then I realise how much we, Kurds, want to live in freedom.

Personally, if I was a soldier in the Turkish army, I will feel proud to be killed by a woman in the battlefield. I really do.

Fahrenheit 9/11

Finally I got the chance to see Fahrenheit 9/11. I must say that Fahrenheit 9/11 is a documentary which must seen by everybody around the world, especially by Americans. It’s a documentary which shows the real face of Bush and his clan.

During the documentary I had a feeling like I just have seen all these things before, déjà vu. Well, after thinking and thinking I thought “Of course! Bush is the American version of Saddam Hussein!.”

Let me explain it.

FAHRENHEIT 9/11: “chairman Bush’s campaign was also the vote countin’ woman.”

Karda: Well the entire Saddam’s clan was also involved in the whole Iraqi government.

FAHRENHEIT 9/11: “Congressional Black Caucus members tried to object to the election outcome on the floor of the House; no Senator would sign the objections.”

Karda: Well, Kurds also tried to change the Iraqi government via the official ways, in 1974 for example. But the rest of the Iraqi government just didn’t listened to us. Actually they began to use the Iraqi army against Kurds in the name of Iraq; ironically Iraq is a country which was actually created by British government!

FAHRENHEIT 9/11 : “As the attack took place, Mr. Bush was on his way to an elementary school in Florida. When informed of the first plane hitting the World Trade Center, where terrorists had struck just eight years prior, Bush just decided to go ahead with his photo opportunity.”

Karda: Well when Iraq was attacked by the American troops Saddam Hussein began to search a place to hide. A place near by one of his castles lol! At this point G.W. Bush is a hero.

FAHRENHEIT 9/11: “Just couple of days after 9/11 G.W. Bush at least six private jets and nearly two dozen commercial planes carried the Saudis and the bin Ladens out of the U.S. after September 13th. In all, 142 Saudis, including 24 members of the bin Laden family, were allowed to leave the country.”

Karda: It’s clear that G.W. Bush betrayed his nation just like our mighty Saddam Insane.

FAHRENHEIT 9/11: “After they were discharged, when Bush’s dad was head of the CIA, Bath opened up his own aviation business, after selling a plane to a man by the name of Salem bin Laden, heir to the second largest fortune in Saudi Arabia, the Saudi bin Laden Group.”

Karda: When Saddam Hussein became the president he made people believe that he is a ‘Said’, which is mean that you are a member of the family of Prophet Mohammed. The whole Iraq became his propriety, including sexy Iraqi women and girls. Odday, his oldest son, his name is certainly on list of records of ‘raping women’.
Jesus! Give me G. W. Bush! I prefer a dumb president rather a president with a son who is addicted to sex.

FAHRENHEIT 9/11 : “With all the weapons companies it owned, The Carlyle Group was in essence, the 11th largest defence contractor in the United States.”

Karda: So G. W. Bush is a war president? Well, Saddam Hussein was also a war president, but sadly he didn’t win one single war! Not even against Kuwaiti’s! God! Shame on you!

FAHRENHEIT 9/11: “Bush tried to stop Congress from setting up its own 9/11 investigation.… When he couldn’t stop Congress, he then tried to stop an independent 9/11 commission from being formed.”

Karda: When saddam Hussein became the president of Iraq he tried to stop everybody who was against hem. Well he just used a simple method: Write everybody’s name that could form a threat, and then just kill them. Simple, isn’t it?

FAHRENHEIT 9/11: “In 1997, while George W. Bush was governor of Texas, a delegation of Taliban leaders from Afghanistan flew to Houston to meet with Unocal executives to discuss the building of a pipeline through Afghanistan.”

“Then in 2001, just five and a half months before 9/11, the Bush administration welcomed a special Taliban envoy to tour the United States to help improve the image of the Taliban government.”

Karda: This one have nothing to do with Saddam Hussein, but a question which the American didn’t asked them selves at that time is the following question: “The Taliban were in Texas, so why should we not attack Texas instead of Iraq?”.

FAHRENHEIT 9/11:
“Hamid Karzai was a former Unocal advisor.”
"Bush also appointed as our envoy to Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad, who was also a former Unocal advisor."

Karda: Well the American favourite Iraqi leader was Ahmed el-Chalabi. He was not a member of Unocal, some people say that he is gay. So don’t ask me difficult question and find the link by yourself.

FAHRENHEIT 9/11: “Congress did not read the Patriot Act before voting on it.“

Karda: Why American people are complaining about the Patriot Act? We, in the so called Iraq, didn’t have any kind of privacy under the Saddam’s regime. Oke, Saddam Hussein was terrorising Iraqi's , so Iraqi's couldn't just ask hem to respect their privacy. But what is the argument of the American? Why they accepted the Patriot Act?

FAHRENHEIT 9/11: "On March 19th, 2003, George W. Bush and the United States military invaded Iraq, which had never attacked or threatened to attack the United States. A nation that had never murdered a single American citizen."

Karda: Well but Saddam Hussein bought his MDW from USA, so USA knew what they sold to Iraq. I don’t think that it’s a good idea to let your enemy know your dirty secrets, so why not attacking Iraq?

FAHRENHEIT 9/11: “The Coalition of the Willing included Palau, Costa Rica, Iceland, Romania, The Netherlands, and Afghanistan.”

Karda: Hmm they didn’t mentioned Kurdistan, well next time better.

FAHRENHEIT 9/11: "Out of the 535 members of Congress, only one had an enlisted son in Iraq."

Karda: Out whole Iraqi government, nobody had an enlisted son in the army. Well there were members of the Iraqi government who had sons that worked at the women prisoners, don’t ask me why!

Conclusion

After watching Fahrenheit 9/11 I will thank the American nation for choosing G.W. Bush as president. At least we, people from ME, and you, American, have one thing in common. We both overmanned by dumb leaders. I will also thank the American army for ‘liberating’ us. Well, to the American government I have nothing to say only: “It’s true that you liberated us and now take your price (oil) and don’t come here again! After all, you divided Kurdistan in 6 peaces and killed innocent Arab people. So don't play Mr. nice guy, we already know who you are, the only country who used Nuclear weapon against humanity!”

Mr Jalal Talabani and the Kirkuk Issue.

Yesterday Mr Jalal Talabani, chief of PUK, said on CNNTurk that he has a new plan for Kirkuk. He discussed his new plan with the Turkish authorities and the Turkish authorities welcomed his plan. From http://www.peyamner.com .

Some important points of Mr. Talabani’s new plan.

“Turkey most has the right to see what is going on in Kirkuk.”

Turcoman who lives in Kirkuk sees themselves as Iraqis. They have been always denying the fact that they are originally from Turkey. They see themselves actually as old as Assyrians. Just a normal question? If Turcoman sees themselves as Iraqi as the rest of Kurds, Arab ... etc why they want Turkey, their protector, to be in Kirkuk? Can’t they just trust the Iraqi government? Why Turcoman want Turkey to act as the moderator and why not UN for example? I just don’t trust these Turcoman who shouting and mooing that they are Iraqi and they love Iraq and on the other hand they worship Ataturk.

“Kirkuk will not be a part of any government”, said Mr. Talabani.

I don’t understand this one. Will we get the third federal state? Or are we just giving Kirkuk to Turkey? Kurds have fought for Kirkuk for about 60 years. Because of Kirkuk we went on war with Saddam Hussein. I am wondering if Mr. Jalal Talabani knows what is he doing? He is not the one who has the right to makes anti-Kurds plans and betrays Kurds. He supposes to protect our interests!

“If there are no problems in Kirkuk anymore, then people from Kirkuk will decide over their future”.

I support also this idea. This is at my point of view the best solution for Kirkuk. Only there is one big problem. There are more than 300.000 Kurds who kicked out of Kirkuk by Saddam Hussein. Let’s say there are also 300.000 Arabs who came in their places. Is it fair to decide over the future of Kirkuk in obscene of the real Kirkuki’s? Is it fair to let 300.000 outsiders to decide over the future of Kirkuk? I don’t think so!

Kurds and their neighbors.

There is no doubt about the fact that Kurds have been always a peaceful nation. In the history of Middle-East, as far as I know, Kurds have never suppressed other nations and forced them to be Kurds. But sadly we see that nations who supposed to be our friends turned out to be our biggest enemy.

Arabs:

Arabs are well know of their hospitality and good manners. For example, If you visit a Sheik, the first three days he will treat you as a guest. On the third day he will ask you what is your purpose for coming to hem . Maybe this sounds very weird, but it’s in fact an example of good manner.
Back to Kurds, what I want to say is why we, Kurds, are not allowed to enjoy these kinds of good manners of our Arabic neighbours? Why a lot of Arabs still have no sympathy for Kurds. Why the majority of Arabs don’t admit that Kurds are also a nation with their culture just like them and they deserve, just like Palestine, their state. Did Kurds ever have done something unforgivable to Arabs that they deserve this cruelty? I hope not.
Thanks God I know enough good Arabic people to understand that not every Arab thinks in this way about Kurds. I must say I even know an Assyrian Arabic family and I love them so much that I wouldn’t exchange them for whole Kurdistan. Thanks God these kinds of people still giving Kurds like me the inspiration to don’t lose their faith in a peaceful life.

In this article a Turcoman writer demands that Mr. Masoud Barzani (chief of PDK) most be judged, just like saddam Hussein. He thinks actually that Mr. Masoud Barzani killed a lot of Turcoman in Iraq. This is what he thinks without any evidence.
For the first time in the Iraqi History, a Turcoman political party which was really representing the Turcoman minority in Iraq became active under the regime of Kurds in North of Iraq. They even got 3 seats on the Kurds Parliament. I still know, in 1997, most of Turcoman writers began with their anti-Kurd campaign. They did this because of protecting the interests of their real land, Turkey. I still know, Jalal Talabani himself, wrote an article on Kurdistan New and he forbid members of his party to harm any Turcoman writer. He wrote “We live in the democratic part of Iraq; if we harm these writers then we will become as evil as Saddam Hussein. That is why we most let them to say their opinion so we can solve our problems”.
Personally, I think that if we like it or not we live together. Try to make our life a peaceful life is the duty of both of us (Kurds and Turcoman). I am not saying that Kurds are angels and Turcoman are the source of evil. What I want to say is that we have to try to improve our relationship.

Assyrian:

I like Assyrian the most. Not because they are the oldest nation in Iraq, also because they are Christian and they still are able to live in peace with the rest of Muslims. Assyrian and Caledonian have always lived peacefully with the rest of their neighbours. They have now 1 seat in the Kurdish parliament. Their leaders are well respected leaders by Kurds. As far as know there have never been real problems between Kurds an Assyrians.

Sadly I read today also an article at the www.kitabat.com which was written by an Assyrian writer. He/She was angry about the fact that Assyrians are a part of the Kurds parliament. He/she was convinced that living with Kurds was not an option for Assyrians. I suggest he prefer Falluja rather that a peaceful place like Kurdistan. Unfortunately the most Assyrian’s intellectuals are also not the biggest fan of Kurds. Their way of writing is in the most of cases as cruel as http://www.bizturkmeniz.com. At this point I am disappointed in the Assyrian intellectuals but thanks God the normal Assyrian people are still giving me the hope that we will continue living together in peace.

Saddam Hussein In court

On the Arabic channels there was kind of a big disappointment. Especially Al-jazeera and Al-Arabia both were very unhappy about the fact that the court was not public. In ten minutes time I heard almost five times that this is unfair. Unfair? Please give me a break! Do you know what is unfair? Let me tell you! Accusing Saddam Hussein of killing million of people in a civilized court and under the Iraqi law, that is what I call unfair! I just can’t understand why we try to act in a civilize way with the Middle-East version of Hitler? Can’t we just learn hem and the people who believe in his Baath’s ideology a lesson that they will not forget?

On the Al-jazeera television channel was the director for Al-Qudis newspaper (An Arabic newspaper) giving his opinion about this issue. The director said three times that officially and according to the international law Saddam Hussein is still the President of Iraq. I am not denying this fact. But the fact that Saddam Hussein is not elected by the Iraqi people when he became the president, don’t give hem the right to talk about international laws.

One more thing, during the court Saddam Hussein mentioned that Kuwait was a part of Iraq and that is why he invades Kuwait. Kuwait was indeed a part of Iraq before 1920, but that doesn’t give Iraq the right to push Kuwait to be apart of Iraq. If the Kuwaitis don’t want to live with the Iraqis and don’t want to be apart of Iraq, than that is their choice. At that point I think nobody has the right to invade Kuwait.

Same country, same people, same flag, same mentality, different president!?

This shows who much we trust our government. Only if they swear, by place their hands on the Koran, then we will believe them that they will do a good job. Is it not a better idea to wait and see what they can do and then calling them the members of our government? Personally I have never heard of names like Sheikh Ghazi al-Yawar or Allawi in the past, but I guess they are better than Saddam Hussein, so this time I will not complain.

I thought we had ‘our’ country back?

“LONDON (Reuters) - The Arabization of the oil-rich region of Kirkuk in northern Iraq and the eviction of thousands of Kurds by Saddam Hussein must be reversed or the country’s future will be at risk, a top Kurdish leader said Friday.”

He said also;

"Kirkuk is a serious issue and it needs a serious solution. If Kirkuk is not solved, it is like a time bomb primed to explode" Kurishmedia.com

It’s maybe a good job if Sheikh Ghazi al-Yawar begins to find a solution for Kirkuk-issue. Because if he is not able to find the right solution for Kirkuk, he will probably better stop calling himself mr. president and find another job. There are things in Iraq that most be solved before we begin with election. Kirkuk-issue is one of them. People, who simply kicked out their houses, most be able to go back to their home without any problem. But unfortunately till now the Iraqi government and the coalition did nothing about this issue. I am wondering why they ignoring this problem? Did they have forgotten that Kirkuk was a time-bomb?

Who wants to hear what I have to say?

In the Western world people are represented by political parties. It’s very simple. If these political parties are not able to do what they have promised to their members, then they will get lesser votes for the next election.
Weirdly, things go very different in ME. For example; the two powerful Kurdish parties in Iraq, PUK and PDK, are actually not chosen by Kurdish people in a democratic way. These two parties are managed by individuals. In fact a small group has the power, the rest obeys. I have nothing against such a structure in a party. But when these non-elected parties have the right to decide about the future of Kurdistan, then it is a different story. In that case I demand a referendum, Kurds in north of Iraq most have the right to choose their future. But weirdly UN and especially USA are not interested in a referendum. If the American politic in this Iraq-issue is based on ‘democracy’, then why they don’t want to listen to Kurds? Why the American politic is based on just ‘listen’ to PUK and PDK? Is the mighty Bremer not able give more attention to what Kurds want instead of just listening to two leaders?

However, comparing to the rest of ME, Kurds are more regulated in a democratic way. Comparing to El-Sistani, maybe I should stop complaining about the PUK and PDK! But I still wonder why USA, a country which is almost based on the trias-politicas, won’t listen to Kurds in North of Iraq? Why they continuing the tradition way of politic in ME which is base on “come to an agreement with the leader, the rest have nothing to say’.

El-Sistani, actually El-Insane, have send a letter to G. Bush couples of days ago and asked him to forget about the Fedral-system in Iraq or otherwise he will use his beard!
G Bush, actually the dumbest USA president ever, was afraid of his look and when he visited http://sistani.org/html/eng/ he was scared even more and G. Bush said then right and loud “I will do what ever you want el-Insane, just don’t be mad and don’t use your 3 meter long beard!
Oke, I am oke with this decision of our American friends. I will not talk about the consequences of their betray. This time I prefer to explain some ideas of El-Insane, the new American lover boy. I hope that the American people, who visit this webblog, have an idea of who their new ally is.

Answer: It is not permissible for a virgin girl marry without first obtaining her father or grandfather’s permission. She should get his permission as a measure of obligatory precaution even if she is self-dependent in her life. Yes, if her guardian does not interfere in her matters, she is allowed to marry without his permission.

Answer: It is enough as long as the machine slaughters and the Muslim repeatedly utters bismillah al-rahman al-rahim. By doing so, no doubt would be left in this regard.

Stop teasing me!

I really don’t understand what the world has against Kurds. When Saddam’s regime ended in 2003 I thought: “Now our Arab brothers will come and they will apologize for what ever they did to us, and Kurds will accept that apologize and we will live together in peace”. But it seems this happy end version of the worst movie ever, G. Bush on vacation in Iraq, is far away from reality.
Especially when you see the Arabic media, your hope will decrease to -273 degree Celsius. Each time I see the Arabic media’s I see the weirdest names for Jalal Talabani and Masoud Barazni. The last thing I saw was “Tarazani”, it seems to be a new name for both Jalal Talabani and Masoud Barzani. At the begin I had to laugh about it and I thought: “The sense of humor is not yet bombed in Iraq!”. But actually when you think deeper about the real mean of this kind of publicity you better think: “Let’s prepare us for the second Siver and Lozan, 1974II, Halabja II… etc”. Well my good friends, any one knows a good place to hide?

My first post:

When 200.000 Kurds were killed by Saddam Hussein and his army of 2 million soldiers in 1988, Arabs and all the minorities in Iraq said not a single word. That is sad!
When couple of months ago the conflict began between the American and Muqtada el-Sadir, Kurds did the same thing as Arab did in 1988. They didn’t say a single word!
In both cases people were dying, innocent people were dying, children, women and old people were dying. It’s is shame that we, people in the ME, can’t live together in peace. It’s a shame that we, the creator of the first civilization in the history, are not even able to govern our selves. Well, I don’t blame them actually. I blame the ones who took the ruler and drew a country for these nations in the ME in 1921.

Back to the Kurds:
I think it’s time to find a solution for the Kurds in the Middle-East. A country which is in fact created by the British, called Iraq, is NOT the answer of the self-determination-rights of the Kurds in the Middle-East. All the nations in the Middle-East has to realize the fact that a nation of 40 million people will not agree to be apart of other countries.

Through the history we learned that the only way to maintain/ create peace is to giving everybody their rights. Sins 1921 we killing each other without any results. If since 1921 each nation had his sate, maybe we were now able to form the United Nations of the ME! But sadly that dream will not come true, at least not as long as we have oil in the ME and as long as we hate each other…
